More ... than you can shake a stick at. I hear it used all the time and mostly not in the context of fun. More obstinate than you can shake a stick at. More jelly beans than you can shake a stick at. Etc.

Shaking a stick is supposed to be intimidatin'. But when something is too big shaking a gosh dang stick won't do diddley squat. I'll tell you what.

I've always wondered about that phrase. How much fun CAN you shake a stick at? Believe me, I can shake a stick at a LOT of fun.

i think what "than you can shake a stick at" means the fun is endless, because you can shake a stick at anything.
