I wanna get a new Sims game for my computer, but there's so many! Which one should I get?

My favorite is The Sims 2. My favorite TS2 expansion pack is Pets. Can't wait till the newest expansion pack comes out (the theme is "seasons"--I'm hoping it's like The Sims: Vacation).

I prefer the Sims 2 over the Sims. The graphics are a LOT better and they included most of the cool stuff from the first game so you're not missing out on anything. Plus, they added a lot of new options for decorating & interacting with other sims. It's pretty cool! The expansion packs (University, Nightlife, Open for Business, & Pets) and the stuff packs (Family Fun & Glamour Life) are great but, not needed for gameplay. They are just added extras if you want them.
You should check out the BBS forum on the Sims 2 website to see what others think of the game and if you have questions about it, you might find them already answered there. It can be located under the Community link at the site below.
Also take a peek at what the minimum system requirements are for the game. It's a BIG game and will need the space on hard drive, a good video card, etc. All of that can be found under the PC Games link at the site below.

Technically, there are only 2 sims games. There is the sims 1 and 2. I suggest sims 2, it is more updated and has more style than the first. Then once you get into it, buy the expansion packs. You can also download a ton of cool things at www.sims2.com

the sims 2 and the university expansion is really fun. You get a new young adult sim and you can party in college xD It's really fun. You can design your own college too.

it depends what you like
if your getting the origional i would just get the sims deleux whcich is the first 2 ims games which is enough to have fun.
if you getting the sims 2 you dont really ned the expansion pack there is so much in the origional

well the sims 2 is really cool especially the new pets one.
And the sims movie stars or stars or something like that is really cool
