there are two adjustments and two different types of adjusters
both adjusters are in the bell housing and the other adjusment is on the linkage.
this is the last adjustment if needed
on the bottom of the bell housing there is a small cover about 4 inches square, remove this
turn the engine over till the adjuster nut or the adjuster lock plate is at the bottom of the flywheel.
if it has the adjuster nut ,put the wrench on it and push down the lock ring, then turn it clock wise whilethe clutch is pushed down 3/4 of the way to the floor, have someone help or use a hammer between the seat and clutch pedal
turn this approx 4 turns then release the clutch and check the cleanance between the clutch fingers and the release brg,you want 1/8 inch clearance,if you have this then check and see if you have 3 to 4 inches of free play on the pedal,if not theh adjust the linkage adjustment.you also want to push the clutch to the floor and make sure the clutch brake is being pressed between the release brg and the front plate of the input shaft retainer.

the other adjuster is a solid bar that holds the adjustment, remove the retainer bolts and the retainer and follow all the above instructions, the difference now is you need to use a bar or tool to turn the center clutch plate clockwise about 4 notches to start, then check adjustments as above.
remember to put all locks and plates back in place and lube the release brg while you are in there
good luck

I always adjust trucks with mechanical linkage, 1/2in between the clutch brake and the front of the trans that the brake contacts(pedal released). Then adjust the linkage for 2" free play. That's for HD twin disc pull-type clutches. Once it's set up correctly the first time, you'll only have to turn the adjustment ring in the pressure plate to bring the free-play back to the correct distance.

Follow the instructions of the previous answer.............only exception...........DO NOT alter the clutch pedal linkage unless it is absoutely necessary, doing so can alter the effectiveness of the use of the clutch brake.
