well, as long as you don;t use a credit card or social security in that persons name i don't think they can get youfor anything. if you;re just changing your name to hide from someone or start over or something else, i think you're fine. it's when someone takes someone elses name or creates a name to charge up credit and obandon it that the person actually breaks a law. i think you could call yourself joe blow and get away with it, everyone's alllowed to change their identity and start over! good luck!!!!

Not in England: unless this fake identity is being used to obtain credit cards, bank accounts or any form of finance or wrong doing: then it becomes illegal.
