that is a very hard question. there are so many awesome games that it is nearly impossible to choose. I like ratchet and clank games, sly cooper games, super smash bros. melee, sonic games, civilization building games, metroid games, shooting games, etc. So, my absolute favorite video game would have to be a group and not just one game. My favorite video game is any video game that I can enjoy playing.

I love Rome: Total War. Plus, there are many ways in which the game can be modded (the Rome: Total Realism mod is my favorite).
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time also has a special place in my gaming heart.

Am going "old school" but it has to be GoldenEye for the N64. The best shooter ever. Because of that game Halo, Rainbow Six, and all of those other shooters are what they are now. It revolutionized the gaming world. And also GTA:SA. It has everything. And NFL 2K5. I have over 100 hours on that game.

I've been playing Ragnarok Online since...how long? A year and a half? Anyway, I also like Suikoden Tactics/Raphsodia for PS2.

*The original, stand-up cabinet games like Pac-Man, Defender and the like
*HUNT, the first multi-player shooting game of which I am aware (now THAT's old school)
