Answer to question 1:Fermentation is the process of making an alcohol from sugar using a catalyst.Or,as Lemony Snicket pointed out in his 13th book, fermentation is also the feeling of something building within a person,or a form of anticipation.I presume you mean the first one.
Answer to question 2:Fermentation can take place anywhere, from within fruits to in a bottle. All that is needed is a catalyst to speed up the reaction, such as yeast or bacteria, and a lack of oxygen,so that the catalyst produces alcohol, not CO2.Lack of oxygen is also needed to ensure it does not oxidise into a carboxylic acid, such as ethanoic acid.
Answer for question 3:I think I've answeres this one.Usually yeast,or any other anaerobically-respiring bacteria that producse alcohol as a byproduct.
Answer for question 4:Fermentation is the main reason we get drunk.Fermentation of malt produces beer, fermentation of grapes produces wine, fermentation of apple juice produces cider.....the list goes on.Anyways,it makes a wonderful alcoholic group of drinks known as spirits....

Fermentation is basically the anaerobic catabolysm of simple sugars to produce energy, carbon dioxide and other waste products. There are many types of fermentation. However the two most common types are lactic acid fermentation and alcohol fermentation.
Lactic acid fermentation is performed by some fungi and some bacteria like Lactobacillus acidophilus (the bacteria that gives us yogurt).
It can also occur in our own cells. Normally our muscles use oxygen to convert sugar into energy, CO2 and H2O. However, when our cardiovascular system can't keep up with the oxygen demand during strenuous activity, our muscles resort to lactic acid fermentation. The glucose is broken into two pyruvate molecules in a process called glycolysis. Energy in the form of 2 ATP molecules is produced, but a NAD+ molecule is used up. Normally, the pyruvate is catabolized in the crebs or citric acid cycle, but without oxygen it can also be fermented by the cell. Fermentation does not produce energy per say, but it is used to regenerate the NAD+ which is used in glycolysis, so that other glycolysis reactions can occur to produce more energy. A byproduct of this reaction is lactic acid. It is this lactic acid buildup in our muscles that make us feel sore the next day after a hard workout. Unlike aerobic respiration, which occurs in the mitochondria of cells, lactic acid fermentation takes place in the cytosol.
Alcoholic fermentation is done by yeasts and some types of bacteria. The products of alcohol fermentation of a simple sugar are energy, alcohol and carbon dioxide.
For humans, alcoholic fermentation has been employed in the processes of making bread, beer and wine. In bread, the carbon dioxide produced gets trapped in the dough and causes the bread to rise and gives it its porous appearance. In beer and wine, fermention produces its alcoholic content and the carbon dioxide gives beer and champagne their effervescence.

Fermentation is the act of selecting the proper substrate for the proper growth of a microbe in order to obtain the desired product.
it takes place everywhere in nature., where a microbe is present.
what type of microbe does it happen in???????????????????????? it really doesn't happen in any specific microbe, it is the microbe itself that causes the process.
because it creates industrial useful chemicals such as ethanol, acetone, citric acid, and antibiotics..
it is used to mine prescious metals from rock, as well as clean up oil spills with microorganisms that uses oil in its digestive process.
most answers will be about alcohol fermentation, but that isn't the only place fermentation occurs.
do you have a more spoecific question in mind?
IM me Gmfod if you have any questions.

Benjamin is right. additionally to verify how numerous the sugar become switched over you like a hydrometer to diploma the beginning particular gravity and the ending particular gravity. Then that is an common calculation to verify the perfect Alcohol with the help of quantity. It sounds like what you're attempting to do is make organic alcohol, wherein case you ought to use distillers yeast or speedier yeast that is often reported as. After fermentation you're able to desire to distill it to get rid of the impurities. while you're attempting to make beer or wine good good fortune. take a glance on the Alaskan Bootlegger's Bible with the help of Leon W. Kania. that is a sturdy e book and has documents on making all varieties of relaxing beverages.

Fermentation: It makes booze.
Where it takes place: depends if you're in jail or not
Type of organism it happens in: see above
Reason it's useful to humans: Big people medicine & some parents can't show love. (oh, come on...that was funny)
