That's your favourite Mac album and guitarist for anyone who couldn't work it out.

Just thought i'd better add all my favs in, lol.
Favourite song is either Oh Well or Dreams, favourite album either Mr. Wonderful (i love Oh Well and Man Of The World) or Rumours. It's hard to top Peter Green or Jeremy Spencer as guitarists, but i also like Lindsey for his versatility. If you listen to some of the stuff he was recording for Buckingham Nicks prior to joining fleetwood mac you can see why Mick Fleetwood wanted him so badly.

Oh, Well. (Can't tell ya bout the shape I'm in, can't sing, ain't pretty & my legs are thin.) Lindsey Buckingham is really a talented guitarist but in a different way than Peter Green or even Jeremy Spencer . "Hero's are Hard to Find" (Bermuda Triangle from HHF is mighty fine in the right frame of mind) was the last of the old Fltwd Mac. Then they branched out on Future Games with the introduction of Christine Perfect (soon McVie) with Bob Welch & Danny Kirwin on guitars and, here again, it's just a different guitar style than L.B. After that Linsey and Stevie Nicks came on board and Bob and Danny left and the rest is Rock History. With the body of work and the longivity of Mick and John and all the different guitarists it's really difficlt to choose.

"Crystal," written by Stevie Nicks.
Rhiannon and Gypsy are played to death on the radio. I'm weary of them. I don't know that I've ever heard Crystal on the radio. It's a beautiful song with moving lyrics. Haunting, really. I'm surprised it never made it as big as the others.
I appreciate good lyrics.

CRYSTAL
Do you always trust your first initial feeling?
Special knowledge holds true, bears believing.

I turned around
and the water was closing all around
like a glove
Like the love
that finally found me
Then I knew
in the crystaline knowledge of you
That drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal-like and clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet
To the sea
To the sea

How the faces of love have changed
turning the pages
And I have changed
Oh, but you, you remain ageless

I turned around
and the water was closing all around
like a glove
Like the love
that finally found me
Then I knew
in the crystaline knowledge of you
That drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal-like and clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet
To the sea
To the sea

Oh yeah there was a ton of good/great stuff before they joined but most of it 'ceptin 1 or 3 songs gets overlooked because of the "after" era. Alot of good blues based guitar songs too. Soooo anywho some of my faves of the "early" years are (in no particular order): Green Manalishi Oh Well Hypnotized Searching For Madge (great great guitar song) Shake Your Moneymaker Sentimental Lady (same song as bob welch did solo)

i think fleetwood mac are the 2nd worst band of all time. only the eagles suck worse. peter green fleetwood were okay, but once lindsay, stevie, and the other chick joined the band, they just sucked. sucked in a bad bad way. i don't have a favorite song, but every song that lindsay sings is worst. but if i had to pick one song i hate the most, it's landslide.
most people forget when it was peter, mick and john they were good. most people don't even know fleetwood mac existed prior to lindsay buckingstupidfuc and stevie cokedoutwhoresnicks. oh well.

Landslide (1975).
I actually remember hearing this song on the radio in 75 or 76, when my P's had a big old Plymouth Satellite.
Before my brothers were born.
Those were the days... (just kidding, bro...)
