I believe that we carry a gene, sorta like dna, that contains memory cells from our previous ancestors. We only use 10% of our brain which is why I believe these genes are present only we don't use the part of our brain that processes them. Then, there's the case when someone DOES break into one of these memory cells and has a memory of one of their ancestors. This can be mistaken for reincarnation if the memories are vivid enough. Anyway, it's a stretch but possible ;-)
