So far I have zeroed on 2007 sonata gls 2.4L and 2007 camry CE AT.
Since its my first car ,I m scared to make a wrong decision.I m not going to sell it for atleast 10 yrs. I was a toyota fan but the 2007 models have serious transmission problems, and the sonata has a 10 yr warranty. HOW MUCH COST DIFFerence between the both and if a Camry is worth it.

No the Camry is not worth it.
With the Sonata you get much more standard equipment in a well engineered vehicle with a 10y/100,000m warranty.
Then if you do need service, parts for a Hyundai are cheaper than the Toyota.
I don't see a down side, what do you think?
I have a Toyota Echo, got it from my mom. She had to have a Toyota because of their reliability. Wouldn't listen and buy an Elantra, even though she agreed it was a much nicer car. Spent $2400 more to get a smaller, spartan, and uncomfortable car, that's had 3 Recalls. And turned out to be listed as more troublesome than the Elantra on MSN auto. Oh yeah it does have a higher resale value. But, I think you're more interested in enjoying a car than reselling it.
Moral of the story, drive both and buy what feels right in the seat of the pants.
Good luck, and happy motoring!

GET A SATURN AURA, it is simply the best deal on the road beating out the Camry in EVERY AREA. It has standard options on the base model such as a V6, ultimate headturner and automatic transmission that would push a CAmry past 25,000, and as an added bonus you get a car that looks good. The best pictures are at http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/vdp/articleId=117152/pageNumber=1?synpartner=edmunds&pageurl=www.edmunds.com/new/2007/saturn/aura/100715083/roadtestarticle.html&articleId=117152#6 scrool down and at the bottom of the right sidebar it says See All Photos,I have heavily researched it on multiple sites and havent found a bad review yet. look at http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/saturn/aura/index.html for reviews and comparisons. Last year Toyota had the most recalls, but the media "failed" to notice since millions would stand against them because of thier reputation. These days reputation is nothing, technology advances so fast it cant keep up. For ex: three years ago GM was one of the worst companies, now they have the most top-rated vehicles, and the quality/reliability surpasses Toyota. Honda is still on top of the reliability ratings. Ford also had more recalls than GM and DaimlerChrysler combined, for reasons like exploding engines and wheels falling off. Here is a quote from the Washington Posts review of the Toyota CAmry "one of which is the Chevrolet Malibu, which in my real-world driving experience has been every bit as good and reliable as the much-ballyhooed Camry but has been maligned primarily because it is a Chevrolet". Oddly enough that was an '04 Malibu VS the totally redisigned '07 Camry. Common problems with Toyotas are plastic rattling until it falls off. People then complain that when they take it to the dealer to be fixed they just say "The cars are made with so much plastic its practically impossible to fix" GM is also the worlds fastest growing manufacturer, and that dosent happen by accident. If you want to save some cash look at the Chevy Cobalt. And yes, I expect all you Toyota lovers to give me a negative rating so the truth cant get out. Hope this helps:)

Go with the Prius.

Why?  Because the world passed peak oil production almost a year ago.  Prices are double what they were just three years ago.  We're in a temporary slump (caused by collapse of demand in places like Africa, just like the "Asian flu" financial crisis caused demand to collapse and oil prices to tank), but it's TEMPORARY.  It won't last.  You will probably be paying $3/gallon next year, and $5/gallon by 2010.

Will you still be able to pay rent, car payments AND buy gas when it goes to $3?  How about $5?  The Prius is the thriftiest car in its size class, and it will hold its value very well; it'll be the most affordable to run and the most valuable if you have to sell it.  In an uncertain future, it gives you the most certainty.

Toyota is a reliable car that doesn't say I'm a rich a**hole like BMW, Caddy, Lexus, Mercedes, but its still classier than a Kia or Hyundai

hyudais are cheap crap , the sonata won't even last you ten years, sure they have that long of a powertrain warranty but everything else is going to require all the money you saved to be put back into it. go with the honda, you can sell a ten year old honda for like 4000 bucks, while you couldn't pay someone to drive a ten year old hyundai

Go with a TOYOTA Prius. Smartest car on the road, hi-tech, most fuel-efficient, and hot.
