After stopping bc pills it takes your body awhile to get back to a regular cycle. I'm surprised the Dr is seeing you so soon.
Good luck!

I went off the pill in September and am just starting my second menstrual cycle since that time. My first period after going off bc was 28 days exactly, just like it was when I was on the pill. My second period came four days late, more of a 31-32 day cycle. I think my cycle is still getting adjusted. Before I ever started the pill four years ago my cycle was never exactly 28 days, so it's no surprise, really, that it's starting to relax back into its normal longer-than-28-day pattern. So I agree with everyone else so far who has said to just relax and maybe your period is just regulating itself.

When you take birth control it regulates menstruation on a fixed cycle. So when you stop taking it, your body starts to revert back to it's regular schedule.
For instance, I was on Ortho Evra (the patch) and got to pick what day of what week my period would start. I only had to start using the patch on a certain day of the week during a certain week of the month. So if I didn't want to be on my period during the weekend, I'd put the patch on on Monday. If I wanted my period to be the first week of the month, I'd start my patch use on the second week of the month etc etc. I could control my cycle, but once I stopped using the patch my cycle started to re-regulate itself back to my body's internal clock basically.
I didn't have a period before I got pregnant either, which was almost 2 months after I stopped using BC. Hope some of that helped. =)

Yeah mine went so haywire I ended up having a period 6 times a month....but then they put me ON the pill to regulate. So there are some options...
You're pregnant but the tests are to early (doubtful)
You're just a week late, it can happen
You're having a slight delay because of the whole off the pill thing.
You've been working out more and that's screwing with it.
don't worry you'll be fine it's only a week.

yes -it has recently happened to me for about 2 cycles-luckily I knew I wasnt pregnant. It caught up with its self and I actually had two cycles the next month. Its nothing to worry about-just try to think if you did anything unusual lately that could've messed it up.my friend ate lots of grapefruit-excessive amounts and it would cause her not to have a period.

It could be stress or many other things but not too worry; if you are trying to become pregnant then it is most likely stress. I was like that trying to have my first and that was more than 18 years ago.

Nerves is usually the biggest problem...sometimes we all have things hiding or bothering us that we don't know what they are...just try to calm down, relax, enjoy some good home some fun and relaxation..then go get checked.
