What do you think about this man's idea of linking everything we do and think to sex?

Most sane people in psychology now days think Freud was the one who had the fixation! Seriously, he also had a cocaine addiction, which could have flawed a great deal of his views. Added to that he was sexist and blamed too much on sex and mothers.

He had some good basic theories, but then there were some things that were just a bit nuts.

Well don't forget 2 things- Freud was kinda a wierdo anyway and plus the times were different back then....therefore, his logic sometimes made more sense in those times. It's kinda like how everything with Freud relates to sex. The reason has to do with the time period when the topic of sex was not spoken of. It's hard for me to explain. A lot of psychologists don't follow his exact theories anymore but they still will use his basic ideas and apply them to other things.

To some extent anything can be linked to everything. Sure, Freud's idea is one of extreme psychosexual orientation, but it can be partially justified. Still, there are so many more prevalent factors. There are millions of reasons why people do things, or psychology would be a dead field.

Andby his own logic he was a fag because he smoked cigars.
