Who are the darkest skinned white people? The Sicilians? The Spansih? The Portuguese? The Italians? Greeks? I don't think Gypsies would count but what about Romanians?

My family is a mixture of Russian and French. We aren't fair and get fabulous tans in the summer.

Why are you grouping Romanians and Gypsies together? They are completely different ethnicities, Gypsies having originated in N. India. I would say a mediterranean group would be darkest. I am Romanian, and none of the Romanians I know are particularly dark-skinned.

Greeks, Italians, and curiously enough, some Germans/Swiss (I think they're called the high Germans).
There are more white looking Germans and Swiss as well, but I have seen some with quite dark skin, which is surprising. Maybe they need it for the high altitudes they live in to prevent bad sunburns.

The Aborigines of Australia are Caucasian, not *******. They have the darkest complexion, hands down.

first you have to define what and who is Caucasian. the only people who deserve this connotation are the inviduals living the countries around the Caucasus Mountains and who speak languages of ths Cuacasian language family.

Actually all Indo-European descent people have the potential for darker skin since our ancestors had tan skin.
