Anyone who says imagine or we are the world or any such song is a tosspot. Obviously these songs do not represent all of mankind because there are people living in poverty all over the world, which is indeed a capitalist world. These songs represent what a number of people see as the ideal situation, or perhaps where the world should be. But this world itself is driven by greed and as long as it stays that way Lennon's imagine will always remain a dream. And we may well be the world, and the children, but we are sure as hell not making a brighter day and i question as to whether we are living. No, these songs represent idealisms and anyone who believes they represent the qhole of mankind are hugely mistaken.
Now that that has been said, maybe a song such as neil young's southern man would be more appropriate, if we adapt it to the context of the above mentioned problem we have.

Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade (from memories of the Arabian Nights) - you are able to only approximately smell the ozone because of the fact the waves crash onto the rocks and the deliver breaks up against a cliff. astounding stuff! Or how approximately Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave) or Vivaldi's 4 Seasons? consistent with hazard a compilation that incorporates opera besides - Ave Maria could truthfully pass even the stoniest alien to experience some form of emotion!

Since I Fell for You as sung by Lenny Welch in 1963.
Unrequited love is the top theme for songs and this one is an undying champ. Surviving rejection in love is the universal challenge.
