It could be the oil sending unit, check it, because the next alternative is that you have no oil pressure which means the engine is shot and replacing the engine is big bucks. Usually you will see this expense coming because it is a very gradual thing - - unless you drove it without oil recently, then that ruined it.
The a/c man can fix your a/c
The brake light switch costs about $2 for the switch you can put it in yourself.

The possibilities I can think of for the oil light are: Low oil or no oil (sometimes oil change places will forget to replace or properly tighten the drain plug), the sending unit/pressure switch, your oil pump is malfunctioning, or your oil filter is clogged. In any event it is important to get a mechanic to determine what the problem is if there is sufficient oil in the car.
The other problems are most likely unrelated. Yes the switch under the pedal could be bad but I'd check the bulbs and wiring first with either a replacement bulb or a volt ohm meter.
Good luck.

You mean 800 RPM? Obvious question but have you checked the oil level? Is it within the appropriate range? If it is then it's probably an oil pressure or sensor problem. At low RPM there's less pressure in the crankcase which could trigger the light. It's probably not so much the speed you're driving, it's how much throttle your giving it. How to fix it? If it's not the oil level then you need to take it to a mechanic. Buying a car "as is" from a dealer was probably the main problem. In some states, I believe if it's within 3 days of purchase, you may be able to return the car.

it could be the OSU. it could be also sludge build up. was the oil changed regularly. what was your oil change interavals. 3,000 miles or more? best way to check this is to pull the valve cover and look at the valves. if it has a black gunky build up looking like tar. then yo uhave sludge and prob the engine will go soon.
this is the cheapest troubleshooting you can do. as a new gasket costs nothing. and you can do it yourself or find someone you trust to pull the valve cover and see whats going on. instead of throwing money on speculation. some of those dodge v-6 are prone to sludging btw.

Yes it could be your O.S.U., but on alot of the newer vehicles there is also a computer signal that needs to be reset and usually it will tell you how to reset it in the owners manual but all those problems its doubtful it is your ECM (electronic control module ) your vehicles brain. check all your fuses under the dash and under the hood . the reason for your a/c not working could be no freon in the a/c compressor it might have developed a leak. connect gauges to a/c on high and low side to check pressure.

i own a repair shop and it probably has a bad oil sending unit on it,this will cause the light to come on a lot ,you might need to get it checked out though because if there is a problem with the oil pressure it needs to be found now, before it has a chance to ruin a good engine, its cheaper now to repair it,than to wait,,good luck i hope this help,s.
