Most people have Hypnic jerks when asleep, which could be what causing your jerk/twitches, these jerks are completely normal.

Restless legs are sensations or feelings in the legs, which make the sufferer have an uncontrollable urge to move their legs for relief, and are rather annoying.

Sleep apnoea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep. Stopping breathing from 10-30 seconds at a time.

Please check out the links below and if you think you may have restless legs syndrome or sleep Ania, then you need to see your doctor, to refer ed on for a sleep study, and if they find any thing they will give you the appropriate treatment.

Good luck

Well, I do this, too, dear, and it's a damned nuisance.

It can be caused by RLS (lots of websites for this), or, if you are taking Lexapro, that is one of the (wonderful) side effects.

Or, you could just be "twitchy" (some of us just are).

If it's disturbing either of you, get your doctor to give you a quick once-over.

Of course, if you are smart, when you get home you can tell your bf that the only cure is a nightly backrub!

You could have sleep apnea. That is where you actually stop breathing while you sleep. I would definitely go and get it checked out! Good luck!
