If you are asking on here then you dont know much about furnances and it would be best if you hired a furnance repairman who has a licence to fix it.This is the time of the year where I hear on the news about CO poisoning and furnances blowing out of the house like rockets. It cost money to have them repaired but can you put a price on your life? I know I cant.

On some units when this happens the high limit switch is opening. Meaning the high limit maybe faulty or you got some kind of air flow problem. Check the filter, blower turning fast enough, dirty coil blocking air flow or duct work blocking air. These are the things to check.. If you can turn unit off at the power and turn it back on and it heats again then stops and fan runs, I say its the high limit and those things need to be checked.
If you are not familiar with working on furnaced Please call a Hvac Tech.

I am a HVAC tech for 23 years, it sounds like an open limit switch. Without a meter and a little time, you would not find it. Your limits protect you and the unit. If you are not comfortable with diagnoses you should call in a Tech. Good luck

I had the same problem, in some digital thermostats you have to hook up a jumper wire between two terminals pull the instructions up on the net if you lost them.

Check the "fan" switch on your thermostat. You want it set in the "auto" position and NOT the "on" position. If this doesn't work check the color coding on your thermostat hook-up.
I hope this works for you.
