Wow, that would be YES, it can be harmful. All those heavy metal chemicals aren't good for anyone, but especially not you!

I worked in a Sam's Club photo lab with a pregnant woman and her doctor told her it was ok as long as she didn't touch the chemicals. I know the silver can be harmful and can pass through your skin if gets on you. Also I would be careful not to smell the fumes that the chemicals can emit when working in the machines. You should talk to your doctor about your concerns and get them to write you a note excluding you from tasks that could put your baby in danger. You can request a transfer but they can't make you just because you are pregnant if you don't want to. Good Luck.

My daughter just had her baby Oct 6 and she is a photographer & prints all her own pictures as well as pics from a lot of other photographers and she is fine! I agree that as long as you don't actually "touch" the chemicals in the machine you should be fine. Good luck!

i'd constantly placed on gloves and attempt to conceal your face once you're working with the chemical components so which you haven't any longer have been given any touch with them or breathe them in. additionally, I consider the suggestion to verify the labels and make contact with the question hotline if there is one. If there is no longer, you are able to write down the names of the chemical components and google them to be sure in the event that they're risky. stable success.

You might read the MSDS sheets for the chemicals you use. But I wouldn't think they are too bad.
