That you recognize both inferiority and superiority may mean that you are a pretty well balanced person?
Of course, it has to do with power. People who feel they have no power and exhibit their weakness and it may make us sad because we can see that they are, in fact, good people who just need to acknowledge their own strengths. If they are victims, that's even sadder, because the only way to rise above that state is to stand up, shake off the problem and move forward. They make excuses about their state and that, too, is just sad.
Hubris is a trip, isn't it? Of course, if you can walk the walk and you talk the talk, that, in a way, is admirable. We may be repulsed if it's clear that the person thinking that he/she is "all that" is, in fact an empty shirt/top: just has nothing but a huge ego. If we see these people in the same light that we see the sad inferior types, it's much the same. A situation where there's room to be a better person.
So.. seeing the good in all folks is a goal. Helping those who seem to be inferior is a good goal. Finding a way to hold a true mirror up to the braggarts, especially the phonies, may be a way to help them. And, to keep ourselves on an even keel is maybe the best goal of all.

When someone seems depressed, human reaction to it is to feel bad for that person. In any way, we identify ourselves with those feelings and so we express sadness, at least with our gestures.
If someone is a show-off, we tend to reject that person just because we don't accept the fact that they give themselves praise. Selfishness is the beginning of that, and it started going on in our lives when we were kids (remember when we didn't want to lend our toys to other kids?).
Those who maintain humbleness in their personality does not makes them inferior persons, but instead, by being humble, it makes them superior persons.
Get the point?

IS NOT NECESSARILY SAD BUT A BIG PROBLEM SINCE NOTHING THAT A PERSON WITH THAT PROBLEM DOES OR MAKE WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH IN HIS OR HER OWN MIND.only NEEDS TO FIND OUT THE HE/SHE MAKES MISTAKES LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AND LIVE WITH IT.
