You are not alone. There is this product called Spanx, I know it sounds funny, but I read about it in a magazine once and I ordered it and I love it. It is made specifically for yours (and many women's) problems. And it is cheap! Just google it and check it out!

Try Kohl's. They have everything in their intimates section. This would be great because you could try on the various items. Some are more comfortable than others. They have selections such as the all over body briefer, the belly brand briefs, instant slimmer biker shorts, as well as capris. Kohl's has quite a few sales on these items, so if you're patient, I'm sure you can catch a sale. As for the bulging tummy, this happens to us all if we eat or drink too much. Good luck with your "intimates": purchase!

A dress is just clothes, so wear underwear. There is nothing to say you can't have your usual panties under a dress, in fact most women just wear their regular knickers. But I'm in agreement with some of the other women here, pantyhose look great with a dress, and they are comfortable if you get the right size. They look much smarter than bare legs, especially for a formal occasion like a graduation. Even a pair of flesh coloured tights which will look like "bare legs" but will smooth your complexion, and stop you looking blue if it is cold, (salami is not cute), will do you well.

There's a brand name out there called Spanx (sold in nordstrom & spanx.com) which is really awesome! First of all they offer many different products to help with body flaws. But it's very different from the usual body shaper you would find at any other departement store because first of all you can't even tell you're wearing it no matter what you wear it under. It does not cut into your flesh in the waist area and legs which makes a big difference and that's why it's so awesome.

the tummy bulges after eating for everyone. it doesn't mean you're fat. if the skirt is long enough, wear girdles like spanx or something that goes down below the mushiest part of your thigh and goes up to below your bra. you can always go with a practical corset as well. it'll be a good surprise for your significant other, and it'll hold you in like nothing else.

Underwear with a combination of Nylon/Spandex...look for a higher percentage of spandex (like 22%). The best I've found is made by "Barely There," which is a brand found in most department stores and can also be found by doing a search online, and so you can shop online.

There are special undergarments for this purpose. Go to the lingerie section of any department store, and they can help you find what you need.
