being different carriers I didn't know if there was a way to make this work

NO absolutely not.

Both companies operate on completely different technologies.

Cingular=GSM
Verizon=CDMA

Verizon phones don't even have a slot for the SIM card.

You can probably just deactivate the phone through cingular and then bring it to verizon and have her number switched to the razor phone.

Yep. All you have to do is port your number over to a new cell and give her the Razr. Then she calls Verizon and has her current cell number ported over to the Razr you give her. She may have to take the phone in and Verizon will probably want her to buy a two year service contract.

u can also buy the razr from the cingular store

just see if the card underneath the battery fits. If its the same it should work.
