Hey Anthea,
I have to admit that I have felt the same way that you're feeling. What made me keep on going in life was God. God is just awesome. Just to believe in Him, makes you see hope where there's no hope.
Don't give up! You have to get stronger in the weakest point of your life. Think about something that makes you feel good, like music, family, a talent that you have, anything, AND think about how God loves you soo much.
You'll see the morning rising again. Things happen for a reason. You'll know...
Smile to life and life will smile back to you. :)

No, I never did. I come from a lower middle class family. There were times where we have went without a proper place to live and waited eagerly to see whether something could be earned to make for some bread that day.
Today, I am in a better position. Life favoured me. It had been so good to be for what I am today. But I always humbly thank Life for making me realise that there are more worser situations which I am spared off. It helped me give my life a perfectly positive look.
I have always faced anything Life put me thru hoping they happen for my good and patiently waiting for good times.
No problem lasts forever. If there is a beginning, there is an end. This is true to everything in life. Life is so wonderful, even in the admist of pain, if you have right attitude.
Life is worth living. So live it!

It probably is a good idea to get a good counsellor to bounce these feelings off of. It does help.
I think everyone has that feeling sometimes. That's when we start re evaluating, and prioritizing. It can be life changing if dealt with directly.
Figure out what's important to you, and where you want to be. Start resetting your goals and figuring out how to achieve them.
The more you sit and dream about the future (not the now) the brighter it looks. Take that and think of all the possibilities, and then how to make them happen.
What matters to you? What do you want to matter to you? Where do you WANT to be in five years? (no matter how bizarre or outrageous). Find something and focus on it.
Feeling lost and overwhelmed is natural for everyone no matter how old or young. Life experience is a benefit only in the ability to recognize that it will pass, and not to fear failure.
If you're in a rut, find an outlet. Learn something new, start a hobby, do something extraordinary. Take up something that will make everyone around you go "holy crap!" like, the most obsure musical instrument you can find, or fencing, or small engine repair. I don't know, something that means nothing, but will set your inner light on fire again. So you don't worry about failing or looking stupid, you just have fun.
It may sound trite to you right now, but volunteering is a great way for us to rediscover our blessings. It's also a great way to meet new friends, and get a fresh perspective on life.
Good luck, and find something fun get re-motivated.
Don't dwell on depression, as that is a cycle that is ever ending. Get out and do something fantastical. But you have to make that decision and just do it.
I really have gone on, and am sorry. Especially if I misinterpreted your question. This hits home with me, and I do hope it helps.
God Bless.
Above all, hang in there.

Several times. But every time I think on ''why'' I feel that way, I have found that it is due to some other individuals, a situation, or anything else outside ''me and myself'', so why would I consider my life not worth living when I looked into myself, and found there were several things my life is worth living for - against the ones I felt I am not worth living.
For you to decide your life is not ''worth'' living, is cos' your self esteem has come down and you have decided that whatever it is that made you feel that way succeeded in controlling you, then disappointing you or letting you down, and you just feel absolutely let down and sad and then you just feel life's not worth living.
Look into yourself. Take a day out for yourself, you'd be surprised on all the good things you find in yourself and how many people around you could feel that life is worth living, just having you near them. Trust me, it works. Thats the usual advise, but it works.
cheer up and get going !

Like everyone else, my life has had its ups and downs and yes, there have been times when everything seems meaningless, but then something invariably happens, and once again, life becomes wonderful.
Over time, I've discovered that when I get down in the dumps, what helps most is to volunteer for something and go help someone else. That is always a great pick-me-up. It doesn't even have to be a formal volunteer program -- just do something for somebody else. It really puts life back into your life.
Sometimes, it's great just to go for a walk along the river bank, and really look around. We live in such a beautiful country and we're so lucky that we can go out for a walk and no one is shooting at us, no one is bombing us, and we can come home to a nice house in a safe neighborhood. It really makes you appreciate what a wonderful life we have here.

You need to talk to someone, life is worth living and it will get better. I felt that way once but I got through it and I am happy now.

I have never felt that life is not worth living but rather that I was not living a worthwhile life. I tried to better myself and my depression lifted. Taking responsibility for that made all the difference in the world.

Sure. Sometimes I feel life is too wonderful, too. I'm not even bi-polar. It is normal to feel.
Why are people so "overwhelmed by their feelings". All emotions pass, that's their nature. They're like your own personal weather.
Life is worth living, right until the end if you're doing it right.

No, not at all. I get lonely sometimes, depressed, and truly disappointed with people. I've learned to view life as a clean slate. Each day is a new day, a new opportunity to do or improve on what you missed the day before, a new day to meet new people, a new day to learn something new, a new day to re-invent yourself.

Ya I feel the same every now and then. I think this is the symptom of a sensitive human being to feel like this. They get hurt very soon and they take every little thing very seriously because of which this feeling occurs.
