He reflects his heat vision off a mirror and burns his own facial hair off in order to shave. (This is actually true.... at least as far as the cartoons, TV shows and comics are concerned....)
As for his hair, he probably bounces the heat vision off several mirrors
doing the same thing as his his beard.
Again the heat vision could probably burn down the nails as well.
(The hair and nails are my best guess)

Yep, he uses his heat-vision to shave (and most likely to cut his hair). This was shown in John Byrne's Superman run shortly after "Crisis on Infinite Earths". He also leaves a bunch of free weights lying around his apartment so people don't wonder how he got such a great physique. Unfortunately, Lois noticed that the weights were way too light for him, so that didn't work out as well as he had hoped.
Another great question is what kind of damage Superman causes whenever he burps, sneezes, or uses the bathroom.

For the record, Superman doesn't have any special scissors or grooming accessories to speak of. Instead he uses his heat vision on a mirror and the beam supposedly bounces onto wherever to he needs to shave or cut his hair. But it doesn't hurt because it's a concentrated amount of heat vision onto the body itself so he won't singe his own skin.

just to throw something in... between 1938 and 1987, they merely said that superman's hair and nails didnt grow on earth, because there would be no way to cut them... he was completely invulnerable until they killed him off and john byrne reworked the character...

He doesn't age, at least not at the human rate, and his hair doesn't grow --same for finger nails, etc. And his S*** doesn't stink either.
