I am a christian, but by the way I live my life sometimes you couldn't tell. I do the best I can when it comes to being kind to others and by that alone I would be fine. I never cheat on my wife and I love my two kids. I am never stingy with my money and I even pray for the health and that my worse enemies prosper.

Looking at it that way, you would think that I was a saint.

But now lets look at the downfalls. HeHeHe

I get angry easy and I am very impatient. I can't stand ignorant people and even though I am nice to them, In my mind I wish they would drop off a cliff. I am not a very motivated person. I have a great mind to accomplish great things but I always want to take the easy way out and sit on my butt and watch television. I smoke. I don't read my bible enough and I'm a hypocrite in a lot of ways. I can complain about things I don't like in some people but turn around and do the very same thing.

Hope this was what you was after. LOL, I feel dirty now, I'm going to go take a shower. LOL. God Bless.

I just want to fix a few things that was said to the gal above me. Not trying to cause a war, just want to make a point. First, the beard thing was in the old test, and when that was said, It was that men shouldn't cut the edges of their beards to make them pointed. As far as the shrimp goes, that to was in the old test. Later in the new test, someone asked Jesus about that and he said that we shouldn't call the things he made clean, unclean. No big deal, just wanted to point that out.

Ok, I will answer it. I grew up in Arkansas as a Southern Baptist. My father doesn't believe in a supreme being but my mother did. I studied to be a preacher but after studying the church doctrine and comparing it with the bible I got confused but each time I would question doctrine nobody would give me a straight answer. I left the church and bounced from different churches until I met someone who said he found a group of people who meet together as a church. I investigated it and these people were the real deal. They held to the bible's teaching and had no made up doctrines. The bible is and should be our only doctrine. But sad to say this church failed by giving into greed, the greed of money which the leaders took for their own personal wealth. This church was the Des Moines Church of Christ and belonged to the International Churches of Christ. To tell you now the church is no more. I miss the excitement of living for the Lord and only the Lord, but those days are gone. I live alone now, with just the memory of the Lord to help me live day by day in this cold and harsh world. I know I am a sinner, and the one thing I have learned is this. The difference between a christian and a sinner is that a Christian was saved by the grace of God and it doesn't mean that he'll stop sinning it means that he has chosen to try his best to live by the word of God and as long as he picks himself up when he falls he'll be alright. I hope this somewhat helps you?

I'm agnostic, I don't believe or disbelieve in anything. I get most of my morals from my mom but I also think for myself and use my best judgement. I learn from any mistakes and I try to be the best person I can be. If I should be condemed for it, then so be it.

You must remember that 99% of ALL religionists do not get their morals from their holy books.

For example, Leviticus 11 : 9-12 says that eating crustations (shrimp and lobster) is an abomination (same place it says that homosexuality is an abomination and men should not cut their beards). Why obey one law and ignore another? Most christians pick-and-choose.

You're asking me to write an essay basically?

Well - I am a Christian, and I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and I am forgiven because of that. I believe He is the Son of God, and He will return to rapture His church someday.

I live my life as morally as I know how. I have been only with my husband, and will never be with anyone else. I sin, we all sin, but I am forgiven. Anyone can be, if they repent for their sins, and ask Jesus into their heart.
