I think it depends on the couple. I believe if you are friends with your mate before marriage, that is always the key. Being friends, accepting the person for all their flaws, enjoy each other's company and have hobbies without each other. Have intimacy and have date nights. Average marriage today is about: 7 - 10 yrs. For young people it seems: 2 yrs. Too bad. No patience. Women are waiting longer to marry and have children. Take that into consideration.

The first thing you must know is if you want to save your marriage and if you find yourself alone in this desire, waiting for the other spouse to make the first move is the beginning of the end. Learn here https://tinyurl.im/aHL28 If you are looking for someone to blame or someone else to put the emotional and physical work into saving the marriage, again, it's going to fail.

7, 10 years? I got married 17 years ago at 16 and my husband was 18. Yes it was and is hard but in the end, If the only reason you want to divorce is because you dont get along, why even bother with the divorce? All your doing is trading one set of problems for a new set if you find another spouse. Every one has something someone else doesnt like about them. So if its nothing horrible or serious, then overlook it, get over it and go on and be happy with your spouse now. It is For Better or WORSE!!!

Who really cares. Marriage is what you make it. A black protestant can marry a catholic irish girl and last forever, or several variations of that. Age, religion or ethnic background has nothing to do with it if it's the right combination of personalities, stamina and stability!
