A woman can frequently have increased discharge while pregnant, it goes with the territory. However if the discharge is a creamy consistency and is accompanied by itching, it's a yeast infection. It can be treated with products from the pharmacy but you'd have to wait until you've finished your first trimester and your doctor tells you it's okay.

Its normal to have more discharge during pregnancy and as long as its a mild smell its normal and I wouldn't worry about it. I had the same problem, it wasn't bad but I would wear a panty liner and wash often for good hygiene. If the odor is strong or you think that you may have an STD then talk to your doctor. Otherwise I wouldn't worry to much.

The increased discharge and hormonal changes in pregnancy does this to us. Although every woman's scent and such is different, we've all experienced similiar changes in pregnancy. Mine wasn't the same scent as you described but there was a noticable difference. It wasn't rank like I hadn't showered in days but it was a different type of odor than I was accustomed to. If you've been tested and you're clear of STDs, I wouldn't worry too much. If you're having itching then it may be a yeast infection, otherwise...don't worry. It's all pretty well normal (if there is such a thing in pregnancy). :)

Well I wouldn't say it's a normal symptom...but it is common! You need to see your ob/gyn...they can tell you if you have a yeast infection...which is what it sounds like to me. It is especially common for pregnant women to get them. Your body is going through a massive amount of chemical changes and this may be one of them. Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of bacteria that is naturally produced by your body...when too much of this bacteria is produced you get a yeast infection.
Some things you can do to help prevent them are to wear cotton only or (cotton crotch) underwear, loose fitting pants and try not to wear any pantyhose. Also if you take baths try not to use any bubbles or oils as this may cause further irritation. Yeast infections can be treated by over the counter ointments and creams but with you being pregnant... you should have the doctor confirm before treatment just in case it is something more!!!!
Good Luck!!

yeah, there is an odd smell, mine kind of smells somewhat like that too, i think it is well i dunno im really sorry but i dont know for sure what it is, but im not really worried because i was just tested when i got pregnant. but you were tested before you got pregnant? all doctors almost always check and give you a pap smear. because you dont want any diseases hurting your baby. but i wouldnt really worry about the smell. i think it possably could be change in moisture down there because you tend to have more discharge while you are pregnant. but if you have any doubts talk to your doctor. Good Luck with you and your new baby!!

When you are pregnant, your body has more vaginal discharge than usual. If you are really concerned, make sure you don't have a yeast infection which is common in pregnancy , go see your doctor and clear that up. Other than that, you are perfectly normal.

I don't think you need to be retested. most women have a lot of discharge while pregnant, maybe it's just from that. you're body is going thru changes, also you're sense of smell tends to change while pregnant so it could just be that you're really sensative to smell and it's not really as bad as you think.
if you're concerned see your dr just in case.
