The person under there is dead. The do not see, feel, think or breathe. They do not get offended when the lawnmower runs over their grave.
The important thing is that you remember those who are dead, not how you visit their grave.

Considering they have 6 feet of dirt and a coffin door between you and them I don't think it matters much. Then again it just depends on a persons beliefs. You know the whole "let them rest in peace". But hey who knows, maybe they don't mind a vistor now and then. Keeps things, lively? Also if you think about it, someone mows the grass over them. So really someone sits on every grave, you know since most graveyards have ridding lawn mowers and all.

No it's not. But if you jump around and on it and stuff the FAMILY might get offended. Sitting near one's pretty cool you start imagining the people, what they were like, how they died (not so cool) I don't know but it's fine.

Not at all. As long as it is your relative or very close buddy.
Sit or take a nap...whatever: you are showing respect
just by taking the time to appear.

No, and when you think about it, there isn't anywhere on this planet where there isn't something buried underfoot.
