people yell because they're trying to get their point across while their angry and they believe that their point is the only correct one. By yelling they think they can change the other person's mind which really never works.

Some people just have to yell no matter what. Though it could be very annoying to the audience, it could be therapeutic to the yeller.
It relieves the yeller of frustration. It could become a habit though. A complete silence and snobs will embarrass the yeller. That's the best way to handle them.
Yelling back at a yeller makes two lunatics and a hellish environment. No one will know who is truly insane. When you're yelled at, don't yell back. That's maturity.
