If so, where, and what did you think of it?

I have stage managed a production and seen two others. There are a number of variations on the script because Williams kept adjusting it.

I get caught up in the family dynamic quite a bit. I think it's much more interesting on the stage than on the page and I believe that the more simply and honestly it's played, the better it is. This is probably due to some of the more overly poetic flights the script takes. Sometimes the writing is a little creaky, but the emotions are right.

These people simply make each other suffer. Sometimes they mean to, sometimes they don't, but the suffering comes all the same, like any family.

I also think Amanda Wingfield is one of the great roles of the American stage.

It has been a long time since I saw it, but I don't remember it being very logical. But it has been a long time. I did not really like the movie that well. Then of course most Atheists believe the Big Bang Theory so we can see where the "logic" kicks in. I did not know you could be Atheist and Agonostic- My understanding is that agnostics, aren't sure if there is a God- Atheists, just don't believe in God at all.

I've seen it dozens of times, in too many different locales to mention.

It's a GREAT play...as long as directors get the heck out of it's way. It's very cleverly -- and very tightly -- constructed, and, like Arthur Miller's "Deat of a Salesman," it packs an enormous emotional wallop if it's just produced simply and faithfully.

I read the play in high school as a part of an American Literature English class I took in my senior year. I didn't like it much.

There are several different versions, all of them are passable. The problem isnt the acting , its the fact that the play is very dated in the way the women are treated and how they behave. Its hard for us to identify with them.

I saw a film version of it in high school. It starred Katherine Hepburn. I wasn't too thrilled.
