None of the above. The security guard calls me and let me know I have a guest. The door is usually open by the time they get to my house.

" On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Gal. 5:22-23) This "fruitage of the spirit" is what you are beginning to take on as your study and understanding progress. That is why you look back at only 8 months and wonder how you thought that way then. What matters is that we are pleasing Jehovah by what we do and the spirit we do this work in. That is out of love and concern for all people. It is not different from seeing a neighbor's house on fire. We would do everything we could to warn them and get them to a place of safety. Today, we are aided to see a house fire no one else notices. The coming destruction of this wicked corrupt system all over the world. All the usual places of safety the world sees will do them no good. Only the Bible shows how each individual can get to safety. Though none of us can actually "save" another, we can show them the way to do so themselves. Is that not a wonderful privilege? Most will not want our invitation to learn about Jehovah. That too is fine. They have at least been warned. At times, that is the best that can be done. They have made their decision to go down with this wicked system. We go on to the next house looking for those who want to know what Jehovah requires of his people. Even when you quit for the day, there will be more houses left for another time. We never know who we will meet. That is part of the fun. Hoping we will find teachable people wanting better in life and better knowledge of God. There is nothing like the feeling you get from someone who has wanted to understand the Bible. One who might have been praying for just that and then you knock on the door. You begin to show them from their own Bibles exactly what the Bible answers to their questions. That is completely different from the guesses and theories they have been given before by friends and clergy. Instead, you turn to the Bible and show them exactly what the scriptures say about the matter. There is no other feeling like when you see that they now understand that Bible truth! Not even when you first began. As you progress, you will find you are putting on the "New personality" as described at Ephesians 4:22-24 and getting rid of that "Old personality". Those characteristics are found a few verses before. (17-19) That is why you think you have mellowed.

Yes, I have a doorbell. People ring it as well as knock. Lots of fun for a person that works at night!

"Someone's knocking on the door, someone's ringing the bell
Someone's knocking on the door, someone's ringing the bell

Do me a favor- open the door and let them in..."

Does that "ring a bell" for you? ;-)

We have a doorbell, and it works fine, but most people just knock. It's like they don't know what a doorbell is for!

I WISH I HAD A DOOR BELL, IT WOULD MAKE THINGS MUCH EASIER, ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M IN THE BACK OF THE HOUSE, WHERE IT'S HARD TO HEAR PEOPLE KNOCKING.
