I have a russian tortoise. I found him and found out that he is probably 10 years old. Who knows who will outlive between the two of us... he does kinda live a life of luxury sunbathing or sunlamp bathing all day and night!

Possibly, I am in my early 40's. I just got a horse that is 6 years old. I just learned that horses can live to be 30 or 40 years old. That really surprised me. I thought most of them only lived into the 20's. She could easily outlive me, but then again, like many people said, I could die tomorrow, who knows? My 11 year old cat could outlive me if I were to be in a car wreck tomorrow.

I have a white throat monitor lizard that can live 20 years plus and a kinkajou that has been known to live over 30.
Both are only a few years old, and I'm nearly 40!

I have a Boa Constrictor that I got at a year old and they can live over 40 years plus. I am 32, so it's possible that the Boa will out live me. If it does happen, one of my children will take it. probably my second oldest daughter. She absolutely adores it.

Good point Sports. And that will suck. I have 39 animals I care for...most are inside my home. However...if I'm allowed to live to old age...then it will be close. My Congo African gray was 30 yrs. old when I took her in 3 yrs. ago. I'm 42.
