Yes, It started getting lame around 15 years ago. It's the same, Your just getting older.

Whoever said it started getting lame about 15 years ago is right. SNL used to be really funny. The fact that people think it is just starting to get lame or always has been lame makes me feel old.
I remember one year my Grandma got all the grandkids Church lady shirts for Christmas. That was a good memory.

Yeah, i been watching the show since the begining in the 70s, and i think its been great up until Will Ferrel left. He was the last truely legendary member of SNL, Daryl Hammond and Chris Parnell were good but now theyre gone too. Im sure somebody great will come on soon and bring the show back to greatness, or at least i hope so, because it will be a sad day when snl is cancelled.

Getting Lame? That's interesting.....SNL has always been lame in one way or another....it has never been a strong show but we watch because it is live.....we want to see people make mistakes......I've been watching the show since the early 70's...but I can say honestly it is not a show I would watch anymore unless there is someone I want to see....I've been in the audience 3 times in my life and have enjoyed it however....I was there when Gilda Radnor was on the show.........was great in a way back then....however, the show is really lame more than ever today.....can't stand to watch.

It's so sad! They lost Tina Fey as a writer, and it really shows. They're trying to do some of the same things that worked last year, like the ******* and some slapstick, but without the writing to back it up it's just going to get worse.
They've always said SNL has good years and bad.

SNL became lame when political correctness became the reason for the show and not comedy.

Theyu changed some of it and I don't like it, for example the words "Saturday Night Live" are at the bottom corner in sparkly block letters and doesn't look sophisticated.

Yeah. Hopefully Tina will come back. There always seems to be some adjusting when major people leave. Hopefully they'll pull it all back together like they usually do.
