I have an HP8125 wireless notebook and want to inrease my "range". Can I do this?

This is a little bit trickey. First you need a wireless card. Since you have that notebook it's probably built in. You can either open up your laptop and look for the antenna wires or get an external wireless adapter.

You can do two things. You can set up a directional antenna. You will have to do this at both ends of the transmission. There are ways to make one of a aluminum can. It's called a cantenna.

The other thing you can do is get a signal booster. Again you will want to boost the signal at both ends.

If you're talking abot WiFi, you can get a PCMCIA card with an external antenna. That should help.

to have good speed internet link ur laptop to ethernet cable by router, wilreless card & usb adapter is less speed then wire router by ethernet .
