Democritus developed the concept of dividing matter into smaller and smaller pieces until u could divide it no more. These smallest pieces were called atoms. Many scientists have come up with models of atoms based on discoveries made by others. 4 of them r Dalton,Bohr,Rutherford and JJ Thomson.

Your Task:
1. Chronicle the milestone in the study of the structure of matter in a timeline. Using this timeline, describe how our ideas about atoms have evolved over time.
2. Describe models of atoms suggested by Bohr and 2 of the other scientists(Dalton, Rutherford and JJ Thomson)

In ur timeline, you shld have dates, names(scientists), a brief description of their contributions which hav helped shape the models of atoms in chronological order (including the 4 mentioned abv and 5 others)

Please try and help me if you can cause i really need help from you guys. And also please acknowledge your sources.

to a search in google, or go to http://www.wikipedia.org and search for atomic models, it won't show you any result but rather a list of them.

"H and Cl have isotopes according to their # of protons." The above assertion is inaccurate. Isotopes are surely desperate via the form of neutrons, no longer protons. If the form of protons are distinctive, the element is distinctive. as an occasion, hydrogen (H) has one proton. If it had 2 protons, it does not be H, it could be helium (He). although, if the H atom advantageous properties a neutron, it remains a H atom. subsequently, H atoms could have distinctive numbers of neutrons of their nuclei, and in the event that they do they're "isotopes" of one yet another. an identical theory applies to chlorine (Cl) atoms, with each of them containing 17 protons. The mass quantity is the form of protons AND neutrons contained in an atom's nucleus. by way of fact atoms of an identical element can incorporate distinctive numbers of neutrons, the mass quantity could be distinctive for various atoms of an identical element. as an occasion, a H atom containing a million neutron has a mass form of two (a million proton + a million neutron), while a H atom containing 3 neutrons has a mass form of four (a million proton + 3 neutrons).
