Yes, the effects can be very traumatic and life lasting..
Words can most definitely be a weapon..
Keep my nose clean (mind my own business), stay out of clicky, women's groups.. Don't say anything about anybody that I would not like said about me.. Most of try to be kind instead of cruel..

If gossip is malicious I usually say that the person is not here to defend their self,yes I have had hurtful gossip affect my life

Yes, because of the gossip of an outsider my boyfriends parents have nothing to do with him.

Yeah words can be weapons but gossip is what it is... trash. Never listen to it and never repeat it.

sadly...the effects are ruined relationships...
words can be but they will backfire sooner or later..
and what i have done is dont let it bother you a gossip-y life is not a good one!
