I recently had a baby and my hair grew out so nicely...BUT after the baby...my hair began to shed and I cut it ALL off. I mean...super close to the scalp. I even went a barber and let him trim and line it...it was pretty interesting. Now the barber said African American women with bald heads is SEXY...and to be honest...before I got married...a close friend and I would go out and I had the long hair or ponytail and she had the close cut and would ALWAYS get MORE attention than me... Back then, I would have never considered it...but in this case...I had to...
Is it sexy or not?

Any hairstyle can be sexy. It all depends on the person wearing it. I feel that black women w/ shorter hair cuts are usually very strong, confident and classy. Just make sure you:
Keep it lined up!
Wear earrings
and always keep your brows done.
I'm black, and one day I hope to get my hair cut short as well...

I think that a close cut would be okay- a lot of women look really pretty like that. Look at Angela Basset in " Waiting to Exhale" . I definitely wouldn't go bald though. I don't think any woman( no matter what color) would look very good bald. You need some hair, even if it is just a little!

I basically feel its the same aesthetic for both white or black woman. However I saw this singer on a morning show who had little to no hair and I was surprised at how good she looked. Perhaps black woman can pull of bald better that white woman do in general.

We have so many choices for styling our hair...going bald is just like going natural, or getting a relaxer, or getting locs, or braids, getting a lace front wig, or cornrows, or whatever...it's diversity and style that makes the world go round...

I'm a white female......buuuuut......I think it is. :) Not sure if my opinion is what you want, but there it is. I always admire women who are confident enough to NOT go with what the majority of women have (long hair, in this case). Plus, short hair looks good.

I have noticed that black women can have any kind of hairstyle and it always seems to work for them. I also notice that somehow they make extra pounds looks sexy. When a white woman just does not have that ability!

if i hated my hair, i would shave it all off too
but, you have to have the right shaped head to do it
i know, it sounds ridiculous
ur like, "well, how do i know if i have the 'right shaped head'?"
im not exactly sure, but it has to be relatively round and not sloped
most black women have perfectly shaped heads

I guess it depends on the person. Personally if you love someone or want to be around them they won't care what you look like. So I will say it won't matter to the people who really care about you.
