There are tons of Stephen King books that have been made into movies. The books are better in 99.9% of the time. The Harry Potter books/movies are great but the books are more detailed.

The Harry Potter stories, like most others, were BOOKS before they were movies, not the other way around. Another young adult book, Eragon, is being made into a movie right now. It looks promising.

the books come first and then the movies - at least ninety percent of the time its that way.
way too many books that have been turned into movies over the years.

yes. for example, you have "Winn-Dixie" and "Holes". there are many other books that are movies also. one that just came up is "The DaVinci Code". You also have "Harry Potter".I hope that answers your question.
