I went to get some decorations for Thanksgiving and they were all ready taken down to make room for Christmas. In fact I started seeing Christmas stuff in the stores just before Labor day.. Is al this just a little too much?

It is definately too early for Christmas. By the time it gets here everyone is going to be tired of all the decorations. It's not too early to start shopping for Christmas, but the music and the decorations are a little much.

Yes! i decorate early like right before Thanksgiving and now the stores are beating me. By the time Christmas gets here, I am tired of looking at it and I love Christmas decor!

I don't like it because it reminds me that winter is coming up real soon.

I don't decorate until Thanksgiving week-end but I've decided to wait til 2 wks b4 because I am tired of the decorations by xmas.
Can't wait to take them down the day after. Some people like to put them up earlier; I figure it's because it's so much work for them that they want to make it worth it.

I just input "thanksgiving decorations" & came up with lots of items. One great idea for an inexpensive centerpiece is putting gourds of various sizes & colors in a bowl. Martha Stewart had a few easy ideas; e.g., pinecone napkin rings (very easy to do). Then there are sites where you can order decorations. Good luck.

Yes, the commercialism of Christmas is disgusting. I was in the grocery store tonight (November 11) and the music being piped in the store was somebody singing Jingle Bells! I think the real meaning of Christmas was lost years ago and we may never get it back (especially if "Christmas" is banned now). How sad. We have days off for Martin Luther King, Presidents, and a turkey, but we can't honor the greatest who ever lived - Christ??!!

I think so. Starting to advertise for the Radio City Christmas show is september is just a little on the overkill side. And now, I'm sick of it, even though thanksgiving is 2 week away.

it's kinda early, here in KC,MO the local "easy listening" station is already playing Christmas music. I usually decorate the night of Thanksgiving.

and then you get a gift card for Christmas and you go buy a winter coat, and all you can find is swim suits. That happened to me a few years ago, not a winter coat in town after Christmas, but tons of swim wear.
