now i am in my late twenties and out of the relationship that held me back for so long i feel lost. should i capitalise on my looks or 'grow old gracefully' i don't look any different to be honest but i suppose part of me feels guilty and superficial for even making my beauty (that i am told of) my life. aarrrggh i'm really confused. my ex husband would beat me whenever anyone enthused over my looks, and i want to take my life back. i have been approached by a major modelling agency in london but dont know what to do. sorry if this question doesnt make sense.

Go for it! Now you're old enough to appreciate yourself with a brain and common sense to match it. That's how I felt when I was modelling :-)

Live your life for you. If you enjoy modeling go ahead and do it, but only if you can do it without it going to your head or thinking your an idol / glorified. Get your education too. If you model, you may be able to keep going into your 40s. Look at Lauren Hutton (in her 50's I think), Eman, Demi Moore, Kim Basinger, Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields. But you gotta have that education too. As far as your Ex ? Get a .25 caliber pistol or a .357 magnum, whichever you're able to handle the best. If he approaches you and makes any threatening moves, pull back the hammer and send his behind to kingdom come.

Absolutely, especially if you have been approached by a major agency. Natural beaty is rare & therefore always in demand.

Your ex sounds like a classic case of an insecure guy who never felt worthy enough to be with such a beatiful women so he tried to make you feel like you weren't that special. As crazy as it sounds I know of at least two other gorgeous friends of mine, who thankfully are both out of those destructive relationships.

Go for it, enjoy new challenges & experiences now you are 'free' !!!

All your life you have been told that you should give this a go. For however you were in this relationship, it was an impossible dream. Now you are free of his oppression, your dream has come to you in the shape of this agency. Personally, I wouldn't wait for anyone else's opinion. Fate has dealt you an Ace, take it.

I wish you all the best of luck with your new venture. Just remember to let us all know where your image gets printed, OK? ;o)

I have had opportunities to model, I declined for various reasons. You perhaps sound like you are also holding back. What you could do is make a list of pros and cons; I do this quite a bit. What it does is put things in perspective, letting you figure out what you really want to do and why perhaps you haven't yet. It has helped me, hope it helps you.

Go for it girl. Just work on yourself and what make you happy. You need a better self image. Just know that modeling is a very critical proffesion and that they will pick at you for whatever. You need to be strong and not let it break you. I hope you find happiness. Good luck!
