I'm 18 but i'm still going to answer this. I think it's sad that you think that people under 25 have no taste in music. You should be more mature at your age.

My favourite female singer is Joni Mitchell. I love her folk sound and i love the simplicity of her music. She has a wonderfully unique voice that matches her music and lyrics brilliantly.

I also love Christine Mcvie and Grace Slick.

My favorite singer/performer is Michael Jackson; He has a beautiful voice that he used well, a good vocal range. He wrote his own songs that were original and often had a message. He was a revolutionary artist and performer. I also like Lady Gaga; She has messages behind her songs and good symbolism. When she performs her songs a capella, or just with her piano, you can hear that she has a strong voice, and is able to sing with feeling.
