To bluntly express the truth, the reason that there are so many stereotypes against Asians is because they are not the standard Caucasian American.

I am Caucasian, but I have always had a respect for Asians. I believe that Asian guys are some of the best-looking on Earth in addition to being some of the smartest (my sister has said before that I have Asian genius). Sure, it may sound like saying that Asians are smart, but I have observed that the Asian population is full of hard workers and brilliant minds, which genetics play a big role in.

If someone truly believes that Asians cannot drive and/or that Asians do not use drugs or drink simply because they are Asian, then that person is totally ignorant. Members of all nationalities have been arrested for crimes that range from misdemeanors to illegal use of drugs and alcohol to first-degree murder. And I have seen plenty of Asians on the road driving themselves safely to their destination (that is a no-brainer).

There is truth to every stereotype. I hate to break it to you. I'll give you an example of something I personally witnessed. There was an Asian Woman driving the wrong way on a 4 lane highway. That covers 2 stereotypes. Asian drivers and women drivers. True story.
Asians are shorter then other groups of people, that is actually a fact.

The history of racism against Asians in united statesa. has been long and unfair-- and it keeps to in the present day time. The racism you stumble upon continues to be particularly prevalent, yet keeps to be invisible to something of the racial makeup of america, the "land of the unfastened." Asians are made to look like the perpetual foreigner, even although the 1st of them (as a rule chinese language) arrived in united statesa. en mass in the time of the 1849 Californian Gold Rush and the inflow of Asian hard paintings (of merely approximately all varieties) in the Hawaiian islands sometime later. Asians have been here for a collectively as, however the media (particularly Hollywood video clips) and commercials have effectively remoted Asians from good integrating into Western subculture for over a century and a one million/2 (besides the reality that Asian women have been portrayed in a extra valuable gentle over the recent years). This racism, although for sure obvious to you and different Asians (and not many at that), is damn close to invisible to those of alternative ethnic identities. Hollywood and mass commercial has effectively accomplished a campaign against Asians (and extra specifically against Asian adult males) to create and perpetuate this covert racism, which has bled by using and adjusted the mentalities of the finished inhabitants, such as Asians besides. Asians have tried to combat lower back, yet those communities and institutions are lots too small to make any parent-in a position distinction. merely familiar attractiveness of anti-Asian racism and familiar outrage can substitute this. tell your pals and classmates of what's going on, do not provide up! a lot of your friends, or perhaps adults stay in lack of awareness of this considerable concern. tell all of them, enlighten them, and carry forward!

Yeah well, I'm Vietnamese and I'm SICK of people thinking that I'm Chinese or asking me if I eat dogs, ok? You are not alone. If you are really sick of people stereotyping you, then go back to China, where they probably make fun of other people. Everyone has stereotypes against other people, ok? You look me in the eye and tell me that you haven't assumed that a blonde girl was stupid just because of her hair color. I doubt that you can say that truthfully. Or try and tell us that you have never assumed that just because a guy is black he can rap or sell drugs. C'mon, I dare you. It's in human nature to just assume stereotypes. It's easier that way. Then we can just assume that we know that person without having to go through the horror of actually talking to them. We're all gullible idiots. Deal with it or go to therapy.

On a side note...you arent small? Well, that's another stereotype I have to throw away now...

Come to Richmond, BC, Canada and all the stereotypes are pretty much true. Asians cannot drive. You will be in an accident within 10 minutes of leaving the airport.

Stereotypes are all over the place, the Irish are all drunks and cops, all Americans are arrogant, all Brits have bad teeth, all people from down south in the US are ignorant and sleep with their sisters, all Indians are alcoholics, all blacks are good at sports and good dancers, all Poles are stupid, it can go on and on. Stereotypes just show peoples ignorance of each other and the lack of wanting to understand people who are different then they are. Its unfortunate, we could learn so much from each other about our cultures and life

Cause people are stupid enough to believe stereotypes, or to see one asian that's "small" and think all of them are. People do it to everyone and the ignorance still hasn't ended.

People are idiots who judge an entire race base on the few. Or an entire religion for that matter.

I'd blame Cowboy off of Survivor. He told jokes (even though he was Asian American himself!). He was like "they never see us coming, with our shortness and squinty eyes" and "I never knew Asians were so heavy! It must be all the rice they eat"
