puppies do not grow up to be teenagers.....they do not talk back... they do not ask for the keys to the car.....they never stay out too late...they do not go to prom.....you don't have to send them to college ...... they don't ask for expensive weddings....they don't bring home boyfriends/girlfriends.....or inlaws.

I've had both, My babies are 10 years old and 8 years old. My puppy isn't a puppy anymore, she's 5.

At this point in time in my life I would have to say puppy! I have a daughter that graduates in 5 years. I have no desire to start all over again! I love babies, but my baby days are long gone!

Had both at one time. Now the babies are all grown up and moved out and the puppy well that's another story.

It depends how old you are (personally anything under the age of 19 is definatly too young and immature, unless you are married, are you?), whether you have a partner who will be commited in helping you with the baby and wants a baby - if not are you ready to be a single parent? and also have you worked out whether you can afford a baby (it costs heaps!). If you answerd no to any of the above than definatly buy a puppy.

I have a puppy, she is great...As for kids forget it, i look after enough of other peoples kids during the week to want them.
