Cooked beans do not grow because they are dead. You can't get a chicken to grow after it's been cooked. The heat from the cooking process kills even bacteria. However, the beans you buy in the supermarket that are dry will grow. Try buying a 15 bean soup mix and see what you get!

They don't grow because you killed them when you cooked them. If I saw that as a science project for anyone over the age of 3 I would laugh. Find something challenging and interesting.
