Will it affect me if I do it occasionally? How about 2 or 3 a day?

Why on earth would you want to smoke. Because you think it's cool or something daft like that.
I promise you that there will come a day when you want to stop, and you are going to have the worst time of your life.
If you have not yet smoked, the the best and most friendly advice I can give you is don't do it.
It makes your breath stink, your clothes stink, the place where you smoke stink, and it really is terrible on your lungs. You can't exercise properly without getting out of breath, you feel like a leper when in the company of others who don't smoke, and once you've started, you simply have to do it. You give away a part of your power.
It's simply not worth it.

Wow, you've put a lot of thought into how you're going to do this. That's a good thing though, you seem really smart. I'd say think about how much you want to keep smoking, and how likely it is your sister will tell. Then think about which you'd prefer: quitting now, and if your sister tells then you'll be able to say to your parents that you stopped. It might lessen the impact a little. Or, if you think your sister won't tell, you could just make extra careful you don't get caught again. Maybe you could even talk to her about it. Personally, I think you should think about quitting now, because you seem smart and I hope you don't turn into an idiotic stoner in a few years. But I'm glad that you've been thinking this out on your own so far.

let's just say that you won't be beautiful in the inside or the outside! Your lungs will be soooooo damaged!!! You will be so hooked, even if you try to stop it won't be that easy especially at the age of 13!!! Your teeth will look yuck! Your gums will be yuck too! Your eyes will probably be red too! (im not sure about that one!) Think twice before you say you want to smoke! When i was 6 years old and used to see people around me smoking, i said i would too when i'm an adult!! Well, after i did so many research about smoking i totally NEVER want to try it! It's affected me so much that now, when i smeell cigarettes around me, i act so rude and start coughing or covering my mouth! (lol... sound weird, but seriously i can't stand that smell!!!! It's like inhaling SMOKE!!!!! gross!!! think about what you'd be inhaling!!! would you rather want to be inhaling flowers or smoke? lol) It's your decision but it's good that you askd about it and i hope you take people's advice! I'm not the only one telling you not to smoke!!! Oh and trust me, some people that you might see smoking nowadays really don't want to but they can't stop it!!! Even you try smoking for one day and you do stop (which will be a miracle!) then you'd still be unhealthy for a short period of time! If your friends tell you to try, JUST SAY NO!!!! Good Luck!!

Smoking is very addictive, my mother passed away from lung cancer and so my children 12 and 13 have no Grandmother.

Don't fool yourself, it is expensive, addictive and harmful.

Be smart, I remember being a teen and craving smoking, but I thought why do something like that, that I know is bad for me, so I stayed strong and did not, but of my family 1/2 smoke and 1/2 do not, all of the smokers have tried to stop and have not, they are all in their late 30's and early 40's now, they regret making the mistake, I asked my sister WHY did she start and she said because she did not care about herself and it gave her a small group of kids to hang out with, well all of them still smoke and are no longer thin like they thought, so I personally find nothing good or positive about smoking, from a person that wishes they still had a MOM around. =) (this may be a coincidence but all of the smokers in the family have also turned out to all suffer from other addictive behaviors later in their lives) while the non smokers seldom or never drink, all own a home and have a good career. That is statistics from a family of 8 kids. (4 smokers 4 non) with 1 smoking parent. Good Luck, and thank you for asking.

Just don't do it. You are 13 you know why not to, your smarter than that. It does not make you cool and you will regret it. Occasionally will turn into a huge habit that is very hard to break. Dont do it saying no now is much easier than triing to fix your mistake later. Trust me everybody is NOT doing it and even as a kid a hated being around smoker and I have lots of teenage family member who feel the same way smoking is so not worth it. Stay smart don't start.

Please dont start that. Especially at 13 and even if you think you wont get hooked you will . So 2 or 3 a day will turn into a pack later on in life. I used to smoke and I started when I was 16. I just stopped for good about 3 1/2 years ago. The only reason I did stop was because I was pregnant, so each time I got pregnant, I stopped and then after they were born and I was done breastfeeding them, I would start up again! I finally completely quit with my last son and havent smoked since and dont want too. Its terrible. My husband still smokes and I cant stand it. It stinks, its nauseating, its just plain gross. It will cause cancer too. My great grandfather died from lung cancer from smoking, and I had a friend who got heart problems from it too. So just please dont start that bad habit.

Fact: I started smoking occasionally when I was 13 and ten years later I'm highly addicted. I could just imagine how much money I've spent over the years. I could probably pay for my education with all my cigarette money. Don't start. Most guys think it's gross when they see a girl with a smoke hanging out of her mouth, your clothes and hair will stink and eventually you could die of lung cancer or another smoking related disease. I've been trying to quit now for the past few years but it's my stress reliever and I'm ADDICTED. I've cut back and only smoke at home or at my friends places who smoke. But I won't be fully satisfied until I quit 100%. It's a disgusting habit I wish I never picked up.

sit them down when they are the most calm, like after dinner or at a point where they aren't in the middle of something. tell them that you have been smoking marijuana, and that you want their support. tell them right off the bat that you feel like you have a need to tell them, and that they should feel good that you arent going behind their back and that you were scared that they were going to have a divorce. you want to get all your facts and opinions out there first, and then you need to make sure that you listen to all of their opinions. and dont argue if they disagree with your choice; that just makes it worse. make your point across, but dont put off all that they say as the "wrong thing". They could have healthier alternatives to what you are doing, so listen and consider all of their ideas. you cant blow them off. and are you sure that you should be smoking marijuana at age 13? thats a little young, it might not even be legal where you live. so you might want to expect your parents to say that.

WHY do you want to smoke? It's not going to make you look cool, or older. It's a disgusting habit, a major turn-off for alot of people, and yes, it does have horrible effects on your health, even if it's "only" 2 or 3 a day. (Trust me.. it's not going to be 2 or 3 a day.. try a pack or 2.) Not to mention, a pack of cigarettes costs $3-$4 on the cheap side.. Can you afford $4 a day?

There are many people that say they don't smoke, but put them in a social setting, and they are always asking me for a cigarette. So, having 1 once in a while would be OK. Alcohol is just as bad but I see kids drinking with their parents at the diner.
