Whos idea was it to start the ISS?

Ronald Reagan first proposed the present station. It's been redesigned a bunch of times since then.

This was an idea of the international community, but originally the ISS started with Russia, United States and Canada, then other countries like Germany and Italy came onboard, also Brazil was in the team but later decided to separate..âº
