Both - also our past life is effecting our present life. Depending what our consciousness was in our previous life at the time of death is what we attained in this life. It is an amazing science of the evolution of the soul. Not Darwin's theory, that was already proven wrong by archaeologists and scientist. I mean evolution of the soul. Both. I think with most things, though, nurture can overcome nature. I mean, a basically lazy person will never gladly hop out of bed to do twelve hours of manual labor, but, if that's what is expected of them, most people are going to accept that. They'll probably get to the point where they don't even think to complain about it, because that's just the way life is. It's probably the same as other things. Stick a baby into a Maori tribe, and he'll be pretty fierce. Stick that same baby into a hippie family, and he'll be far more laid back. Maybe that kid is basically physical, but the hippie family wouldn't put up with that. Or if that kid is gentle, he'd have to learn otherwise to survive as a Maori. Certainly some people won't be able to learn, and we see them every day- the people with anger management problems, the kids who could just never fit in- but most people manage.

A little of both. But you can see how two siblings behavioral patterns are very different. Personality also plays a part. And other people that you come in contact with during your life may influence your behavior.

Your DNA establishes the possibilities, nurturing allows for yourself to develop. On the other hand, nurturing can help you develop means to overcome what DNA lacks.
