Sales:
Make something, and sell it at a flea market/garage sale

Service:
Mow lawns, rake leaves, shovel snow.

Its will be a lot harder for the 7 year. Best if he HELPS his brother and they get paid as a team.

How about raking leaves for a neighbor or planting plants or helping put away groceries? They could make beds, dust, sweep. Elderly people in the neighborhood might find something for them to do. Sometimes they will ask to do menial things but would not be menial for them if they can't do it themselves. The older one can water plants or put out garbage.
Hope this helps. Don't need help myself right now but when the time comes, hope kids are around and want to help.

Congratulation on starting your boys off early.
they will not join the wage slavers later.
have them visit daveramsey.com to learn to manage the money they make.
in the neighbor hood they can watch (with your help) houses, walk dogs, trash patrol front yards, they get to learn to work as a team.

Send them around to the neighbots asking for things they can do. My old girlfriends 5 year old was doing this so I think yours can too. Raking leaves, cleaning garages, shoveling snow, it goes on and on.
