Everyone is going to say how you shouldn't use it b/c it is so popular but WHO CARES?!
I love that name and was close to naming my daughter that but chose something different.
If you ARE worried about the popularity of it, try changing the spelling.

When I think of the name Emily I think of a annoying preppy cheerleader, no offense but there's a really annoying girl named Emily that i know.
I think the name Emily is too common, its sucks having a common name, like my name is Katie and its pretty common. Just dont name her Brittney thats REALLY commom.
If you want to name her Emily then spell it differently, like Emilie.

that is my name. i personally think it hard to say and people dont always understand. i think its to many syllables for only 5 letters. also i know so many emilys it very popular so she would have to be emily s. or whatever in school. some people call me emma and i like it alot more because its easier to say and cuter. emily is kinda like john nowadays pretty common and boring but if thats what your going for then i guess its better than having some weird name nobody has ever heard of.

i was going to name my baby Emily... her name is Liberty lol. She has a baby doll named emily though. I like the name and you dont hear it very often any more.(at least not around here) GO FOR IT!

Pick a better name. Emily is BORING. Also, every "Emily" that I've ever met has been a spoiled little brat.

The name is cute, but my opinion, not a big fan. If you want to go with an E name, I do love the name Emma. I think thats more softer and prettier. But then again, this is my opinion. But I hope you find a name soon.
