Hopefully if that happened, people would look back on it like the sit ins by civil rights activists

Henery David Thoreau wrote the essay titled "civil disobedience". He also practice civil disobedience when he refused to pay taxes because he detested slavery and because tax revenues contributed to the support of it.

What if all the people that oppose the war in Iraq refused to pay their taxes because the taxes were being used to support a war they didn't believe in?

I do not understand why all Republicans are so worried about tax increases. If you are middle class or lower, you have nothing to worry about.

They would take everything you own and throw you in jail and if they dint have enough room they would billed more jails!

pehaps...but the obvious way to fix this problem is to allow them to lead us into short term disaster and when they do they dont blame me i voted for....bumper stickers will definitely sting on teh other foot.

No, they'd just get fined by the IRS. Those clowns (ahem) have nothing to do since they can't chase anyone making big bucks. Thanks Bush.
