First of all, every team in Texas is good. All three(HOU,DAL,SA)could easily make it to the playoffs and all three have dominant big men that carry the way.
But, at this point, I say San Antonio Spurs win. They've got a great starting lineup(except for Oberto that is, but the dude is still playing perfectly alongside Duncan): Parker, Manu and Tim are All-Stars. Bruce Bowen has also established himself as a defensive star specialist. That lineup has won 2 championships in the last 2 years, compared to its instate rivals. This is also no doubt the best defensive team out of the three, possibly even out of the league.
Next I say Dallas Mavericks. Sure they had a rough start, but are you surely thinking they wont get to the playoffs? They just need to have good rhythm going, get Terry, Stackhouse and Howard to play as hard as they did last year(Dirk's still the same good ol' Dirk), and maybe they'll get a #2 or #3 Spot in the playoffs.
Sad to say, Rockets come up last. They would have been second if this is based on present stats but I think(opinion only)they will still keep this going but will only get the 4th or 5th seed in a very tough Western Conference. But I am glad of their offseason signings, and Battier plus Wells would be a very great addition to this already tough Rockets team. Yao is being monstrous at this point, and at the last NY game he had 35 points, 17 boards, and matched a career-high 7 blocks. Truly MVP numbers for the big fella.

San Antonio. They are so consistent and have excellent depth. Dallas is right there with them but are just struggling right now getting Dirk some more touches

I think that Houston is going to be very much improved this year....as long as they can stay healthy then they're the best Tx. has to offer right now.
