It would be a breath of fresh air if we were to witness people in congress and leadership postions working together for the good of everyone and not just for themselves.

I have always wonder why since women have consisted of 52% of the US population since the late1970's way more women haven't been elected. Certainly women are always running for election. Do women have a problem voting for other women?
I don't know but their representation hasn't matched their population percentage. Just a thought.

i look at people in congress by there political beliefs and not their gender because politics is what they act on...what scares me here is that nancy pelosi is a left wing radical masquerading as a compassionate leader. her statements about bush and her preinstallation as speaker lead an ominous tone about the tax increases and unfunded mandates soon to follow. tough times and constant barrage of jihad leave little room for error especially with someone no naive a liberal in case of a need for quick decision and immediate action. contrary to the clintonistas..this isnt a subject for polls and public debate..survival is just that base and critical and ms pelosi is hardly the one to put in charge of our safety, especially when the ties to lobbyists and special interests are so very self evident.

Yes! I'm studying the women's suffrage movement and really appreciate that it has come so far. Now we need more minorities in congress. That would represent the true nature of our country.
